Our Story
The name Àros comes from Scottish Gaelic, meaning home or dwelling. It reflects our belief that every successful heating system starts with a proper understanding of the building itself.
Aros was founded by Grant Taylor after more than 12 years working across every aspect of domestic heating — from installation and commissioning to maintenance and system design.
After years on the tools, and more recently working as a Heat Pump System Design Engineer and Technical Surveyor for one of the UK's largest heat pump installation companies, one thing became clear:

Aros was created to bring independent, performance-led heating system design back to the forefront — starting with accurate heat loss calculations and following through to full system specification.
The performance of the fabric, the true heat loss, and the real conditions inside a home matter more than assumptions or rules of thumb. Aros is not an installer and not a sales-led consultancy. We are a technical partner.
